Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the Spieth meltdown on US TV. The commentators, Faldo aside, were up Speith's arse after he birdied 4 holes in a row, telling everyone how great he was.......they were ho hum about the first bogey, and speechless when the ball ended up in the water for the second time. Hilarious. Greg Norman must think his choke was minor compared to this one.

That second dump in the water was so bad it barely reached the water. One of the world's biggest divots, it was hit so fat.

Well done Willett. Nerveless golf when suddenly he was winning. Some twat on 18 tried to put him off twice as he was getting ready to hit his tee shot.

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
grumps, he never fired him for that. he sacked him a couple of weeks later an even in Sweden when the cunt failed to turn up on time for woosnam's tee time

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
Still makes me LOL every time I think about the time when Woosnam had too many clubs.

Way he just took one out and threw it in a bush before mumbling something under his breath like 'Well you're fucking fired'.

Brilliant.

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
AOI, I have family from St Martins in Shropshire and my uncle John was good mates with Woosnam and told him that he was my Dad's favourite player. next time Woosie came down for a beer with John he brought one of his the shirts he'd played in at The Masters for my old man. one of the nicest fellas on tour

Bit like Rory. Dreadful putting all, week. Always reminds me of a petulant child when he walks!!

Shame Langer couldn't weave some magic on Sunday. I remember watching him when I was a kid!!

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
If you're unable to hold short putts consistently while also sinking the odd monster, then you have no chance in the majors.

Westie has always been superb Tee to Green, but then it's all a bit embarrassing.

Kaufman's putting yesterday was how he normally is every time under pressure.

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
Speith will be a fantastic player but as dull as they come. He will be like the Stephen Hendry of golf unless someone speeds him up on the course.

Delighted for Willett but a shame for Westwood again. Gonna be a Monty I reckon and never win a Major.

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
My bet came second and the other couple were hopeless.

Old man stuck a few on for me when doing his own, as he owed me some Ebay wedge, though he'll keep it all and collected £298.

Reckon a few on WHO might have had Willett, as he's always been popular on here.

Grumpster - did you place a bet?!!

Am pleased he won.

Re: The 2016 Augusta Masters
Almost impossible to not know Willett because of WHO alone.

When he first came on the scene a couple of years ago, the likes of stewie and On Mac mentioned him on golf threads to the extent that I thought they knew him personally!
